IDEATION
I wanted to extend an invitation of creativity experimentation, and fun to this redesign. Using bold typefaces and hand-drawn elements, the catchphrase is self-explanatory and displays a use of compassion and understanding to both incoming and current students of the university.
RESEARCH
I interviewed twenty active Bethel students. Ten were a part of the A+D department, ten were not. I asked both groups what their opinion of the A+D Department was, if they see themselves as a creative, and if they would consider taking an A+D class at some point in their college career in order to further my determined design goals.
BRAND GUIDELINES
Using both the research and themes above I was able to design a spontaneous and encouraging layout. Something that catches the attention of the passionate and the fascinated with the mess of creativity.

BANNER TRIALS
I wanted a look that was to the point and eye-catching that only revealed more the closer you got to it. A problem I was struggling with was the constant look of repeated styles and lack of exploration.
